Our Colorado FGV studies are quite limited at this point and we've evaluated small numbers of samples from only two source areas, Kings Canyon (near the Woming-Colorado border) and Specimen Mountain (Rocky Mountain National Park). Initial XRF results suggest that the Kings Canyon FGV shows some promise for trace element provenance studies while the Specimen Mountain FGV does not. Sample sizes are small, however, and any results to date remain inconclusive.
